THE YARDBIRDS - YARDBIRDS (aka: Roger The Engineer). MONO.
UK original 1st pressing 12" LP on the Black & Blue COLUMBIA label.
SX 6063. (1966). (MONO). Front laminated flipback sleeve.
I'm selling some of my higher-end, collectible, investment-grade vinyl LP's.
Some of it is the work of 30 years of collecting. I'll be sad to see these go - but they need re-homing for others to enjoy.

THE 'YARDBIRDS' is a UK rock/freakbeat album featuring Jeff Beck on guitar. An essential rock guitar album!
Stunning audio with this MONO mix - regarded by many as the better mix - the guitar lead breaks being more featured - this is particularly noticeable in 'Hot House of Omagararshid' when comparing both mixes.
This copy has an unusually clean, intact, beautiful cover! Most of these 'Roger' covers turn up with lots of discolouration, unsightly darkened, with worn spine cracks and heavily toned, often creased covers. This one has survived the last 48 years incredibly well.
The black and blue COLUMBIA labels are in lovely shape - some light signs of age-related 'foxing', but really not bad at all.
The labels grade a solid EX.
The vinyl is glossy, shiny and free from any major flaws. Playback is glorious, warm and full sounding. There are some light visual marks to be seen, but the audio quality is excellent overall. Good quality vinyl with these mid-1960's Columbia pressings. The vinyl grades between VG+ and EX-.
The front laminated sleeve grades between a conservative EX to EX+ on the front and back - absolutely stunning.
No real issues from I can see! Fully brilliant, glossy lamination, crisp spine, white has been being retained well with a vibrant print and colour retention. If I was being incredibly critical, then it has a slight age toning in places. So more of an off-white in places. Look at the clean flipback areas on the back - where the lamination falls slightly short of the flap edges... Usually, these areas are browned and blackened from storage compression - here they are amazingly free from that.
A copy like this will only surface for sale very occasionally. Don't miss out.
