SD8283 1971 Release .... THE YES ALBUM .. my favorite from the group ... saw them in 1971 at Houston Colliseum when the band opened for Jethro Tull on the Aqualung Tour. I was totally blown away by both groups but went out the next week and bought my first copy of this LP. "Your's Is No Disgrace" I believe was the first tune that I ever heard at the concert ... that tune and "I've Seen All Good People" were and still are my two favorite tunes by Yes. They are respectively the first two cuts on each side of this LP and the MONO sound reproduction is the most incredible playback that I have ever heard ... especially the bass notes.
Cover: VG+ ... no split seams ... spine has color loss on the catalog number at the bottom of the spine ... the yellow sticker has some scars and the monaural sticker is also appearing as though an attempt had been made to lift it for another cover.
Vinyl: EX+/ EX+ ... not NM only because of a couple of ghost lines from paper scuff removals in and out of the sleeve. And there is some slight age spooting on the white label .. In some of the quietest passages such as the intro to THE CLAP, there is an occasional light tick. But the sound dynamics are so much more lively than the stereo counterpart.
