THE YOUNG MEN
PHOENIX GARAGE RARITY
The Young Men were another one of the many garage band that came out of the fertile scene in Phoenix. Most of were students at West Phoenix High School, playing the prom there in 1966. A friend of the band remembered Frank Lacey being one of the first students at their high school to be sent home for having long hair.
Their first 45, released in April of 1967 on United World #0001 pairs up their version of the Hollies tune “Baby That’s All” and their own song “Love’s Time.”
