Description
This is an auction for the debut LP by The Zodiacs entitled " Cosmic Sounds " released by Elektra Records in the UK in 1967 catalogue number EKS 74009. This is a very rare FIRST pressing in Stereo with the first press matrix numbers of EKS 74009 A1 and EKS 74009 B1.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition with a nice deep sheen. There are a few light superficial marks but these do not affect the audio. The condition of the vinyl is reflected in the audio. The record sits nice and flat on the turntable and plays through without any skips or jumps. The sound is clear and vibrant throughout and plays through well . There is some light background static noise and the odd very light click but overall i am happy to grade the audio as Excellent.
The label are in Excellent condition with some light spindle marks.
The first press heavy card sleeve is in Excellent condition. There is some storage wear to the corners and edges but considering the age of the lp and the material the sleeve is made from it is in excellent condition.
Overall a very nice copy of this rare record.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
