Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my pop and beat records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare first 1965 U.K. MONO pressing of The Zombies – Begin Here on the RED UNBOXED Decca label, cat. no. LK 4679.
The record is in VG condition, there are quite some non – sounding hairlines and one or two sounding marks. The labels are in VG condition as well, there are some spindle marks and there is some wear around the spindle holes.
The cover is in VG condition, there are two small pieces missing from the opening edge on the back (one in the middle and one at the bottom), there is some writing on the back. Besides mentioned wear and tear, this cover looks used, but still very presentable.
The record comes with an original “Important, The Record & The Equipment” Decca inner sleeve, which is in VG condition. There is some age browning, some small folds and a very small side seam split.
Although this record is not in dream Mint condition, this original U.K. pressing of The Zombies’ debut album is practically impossible to find. I’ve played this record from the beginning to the end and plays VG+ or even better. There are some occasional pops and clicks and there is some light background noise, but it is a common fact that these 1960’s UK pressings can take a lot of damage before the sound quality really deteriorates. Within the European Union, the postage costs are £ 8.75, outside the E.U. £ 15.00 (sorry, but postage rates in the Netherlands are very high). Payment within 7 days after the auction has ended.
Please also note that the shipping costs are the same for 1 LP as for up to 5 LPs (the Dutch postal services charges the same amount up to 2KGs) So If you buy more, the shipping costs for your other LP’s are basically for free.
