This is the UK 1st Press of Begin Here by The Zombies. This extremely rare earliest press has the ARL 6709 1A / ARL 6710 1A matrix, the red grooved unboxed Decca label and the heavy original 60's vinyl. The vinyl is complete with the 1st press Robert Stace laminated sleeve.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition. Both sides have the most sensational mirrored gloss, there are no signs of heavy play or wear to the grooves at all. There are just a couple of extremely light marks on both sides, but these are largely insignificant as every track gleams. The original red Decca labels are exceptionally bright and completely clean. The colour is solid and unworn, the text is sharp and there is NO spindle wear, just a couple of faint spider marks.
The sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and the sound is exceptionally rich and warm. Superb clarity and audio separation from start to finish. Just a few moments of very light background noise but certainly nothing that spoils the enjoyment of this album at any point.
The sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The image is sharp, the text is clear and the laminate has a superb mirrorlike shine. There are a few little laminate creases and lift at the spine. The back is bright and clean with just a little discolouration. The whole sleeve is solid and the earliest pinched spine is firm with clear text.
