From 1975 or so, out of California possibly, comes Thee Mugwumps with their record entitled entitled Record No. 1 on Raunchy P33-1. Rare four song one-sided demo disc sounding like Frank Zappa crossed with Captain Beefheart meeting The Roots Of Madness in a dark alley and then shaken, not stirred! The four songs are: Black Eyed Sue, Surfing In Kansas, Profiles Of A Punk, and Laundry Man. I like the music they credit the tunes to-A.S.C.R.A.P. Very rare! No one has ever seen the disc before, so it was probably demo only! This comes from my personal collection. I purchased it out of a DJ's personal collection 18 years ago! Issued in a plain white thick cover. The DJ I got this from thinks he got it in California in the mid-70's. Definitely a rare psych album, not to be missed!
