Description
- Riverside Records RLP 12-235, this is an original US mono pressing - NOT a recent reissue - of the classic Thelonious Monk LP "Thelonious Himself." This pressing has the white Riverside labels with the "deep groove" under the label on each side. Laminated jacket is EX (excellent), showing some minor handling and bit of light staining on upper right back corner. LP is a shiny and clean EX as well, showing a few faint paper marks. There is a small pressing mark at the end of "Round Midnight" that causes some minor ticks, but nothing of much note; there are no skips or repeats. Otherwise, playback is solid throughout - there is some faint crackle at times, as is common on Riverside LPs of the era - while labels are crisp with no spindle wear. Nicest original of this one I have come across in years! Buyer pays $4.00 media shipping in the US, $16.75 airmail overseas. Thanks for looking and good luck!
