This is an original (first), mono pressing recorded August 12- 13, 1957. The heavy stock jacket shows modest shelf wear with top seam cleanly split all the way across (VG) making repair simple. Before attempting to repair the jacket, please allow a good book binder to have a look. Often, the repair can be made professionally for very little money. The label is clean (EX); wax visually grades at about VG. Play-grades, however, from VG+ to NEAR MINT with no distortion even at higher volumes and even in the more dynamic passages. No startling pops or loud clicks, the only extraneous noise comes in the form of very gentle background noise audible between cuts. Though at times the extraneous noise intrudes into the music it is never a distraction. For the hardcore audiophile who enjoys listening to his or her system rather than the music: Stay away from this piece. For the jazz lover who wants the best bang for the bucks: BID AWAY, you're covered. We realize that grading is a very subjective thing, so we always offer a complete refund for any reason within 14 days of winning date. For those not familiar with original Riverside pressings, the wax is heavier than you're used to; international bidders please be aware that S&H runs higher than usual.
