Description

This is one for the hard-core collector of very rare records from the 1960's British beat boom.  It is the original 1964 release, in mono and on the unboxed red Decca label.

Using the Record Collector guide, the vinyl could best be described as good.  There are a number of surface markings on the disc on both sides; there is also a good deal of crackling and some "scratch" sounds throughout playback, although when Van and the guys get into their stride this is of course a little less noticable.  Having said  this the disc plays right through on both sides without any skips or jumps.

The sleeve could also be described as good.  While obviously showing signs of its 45 years, there are no splits or tears.  The back cover is rather grubby, as probably can be seen in the photograph.  However, there is no writing.

I have tried to be brutally honest in my assessment of the condition of the vinyl and sleeve.  However, how often does this  unboxed red Decca original come up for auction?
