A rare Mono pressing of THEM featuring Van Morrison on vocals.  Their first release!  Contains the title track plus "Mystic Eyes" "Gloria" and 9 other tunes!

ALBUM COVER:  Probably VG to VG+.   Some roughness on the bottom and spine side edges as well as shelf/storage wear on the back side mostly.  A bit of moderate ring wear in a few spots on the front of the cover near the bottom edge and some "not so big deal" graffiti on the back next to the song titles.  A small portion of the paste on is torn on the bottom edge on the back side No side, top or bottom splits or glue separation.  Corners a bit dinged up, but not horribly so.

INNER SLEEVE:  Original plain vanilla inner sleeve with label hole is in great shape, no side or bottom splits or graffiti, slightly yellowed with age (not nicotine).

VINYL:   With the exception of one fairly nasty looking 2" horizontal scratch on side one, this record is damn near scratch free.  The 2" scratch just mentioned is not vertical, thus causes no popping or adverse affect on the overall sound quality during playback.  Matter of fact just listening to the side, you would not even know there was a  scratch present.  Sure, there are a couple of light surface scratches in addition, but overall, visually the album is great looking.

LABELS:  Both labels are gorgeous.  Very clean, near zero spindle wear and only a few very light spindle tracks.  No scratches, tears or graffiti.

THIS RECORD WAS GRADED AUDIBLY 'LOUD' IN MONO MODE, SO THAT ANY AND ALL NOISE POLLUTION COULD BE HEARD AND NOTED.  NO HEADPHONES GRADING!

SIDE ONE

Very light noise at entro.  A couple of light pops between cuts two and three, otherwise light to very light noise between tracks.  One moderate pop at the end of cut four.  Some light popping in the trail off area.  Virtually zero annoying or distracting noise present anywhere on the side.  Ballzy awesome sound.  Great overall listening.  I gave side one a grade of "B++" audibly.  NICE!

SIDE TWO

About the same sound quality wise as side one.  Very light to near zero noise at entro.  Very light noise between tracks.  A couple of light pops were noticed on one or two occasions on a scattered basis, and between a couple of tracks but barely worth noting.   I gave side two a "B++" grade audibly also.  Both sides were nearly an "A-" sound wise, but I am very strict in audible gradings.

SUMMARY:  This record is very much collectible, is quite nice cosmetically, and very decent audibly.   The description and audible grading are honest and as thorough as possible.  This album is highly recommended for re-recording to another medium.  Extremely clean for its age and pleasant to listen to, with minimal to non-existent noise concerns on just about every track.
