ORIGINAL 1967 first pressing on the highly collected TOWER RECORDS label! Highly sought 1967 album, great hard garage rock "NOW & THEM" by "THEM" who went on despite having lost their vocalist, Van Morrison who went "solo"...these guys went to L.A. and made this superb west coast psychedelic album. Highlight is of course walking in the queens garden, Square Room, Dirty Old Man, I Happen To Love You and several more, solid selection making it a long time collectible and sought commodity... In most rock encyclopedias, Van Morrison's departure marked the end of Them. However this is not the case. The band went on to make two LPs with Ken McDowell in the vocal spot. This, the first, is a bit of a cross-over affair as they introduce more psychedelic elements to their R&B routes. When I originally bought this many years ago I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. The highlight is the lengthy eastern sitar tripper Square Room. A good comparison to the Lp in whole would be is The Electric Prunes meets Chocolate Watch Band. 1. I'm Your Witch Doctor 2. What's the Matter Baby 3. Truth Machine 4. Square Room 5. Come to Me CONDITION: The cover is terrific, solid and stiff M- front and EX (excellent) back with NO split seams no bends no writing anywhere, very nice/presentable The vinyl: VG++ side one with light top surface few harmless scuffs, side B VG+(+) with one short needle mark on track 4, otherwise very few light superfical scuffs, pretty decent all around...plays way better, should please, playing enjoyable! keeeper copy! A GREAT ADDITION TO ANYONES COLLECTIBLES!
