This is an very very rare ORIGINAL 1st PRESSING release of the first 12" LP by THEM featuring a young Van Morrison from way back in 1965. Called ' Angry Young Them ' when released originally here in the UK in 1965 it sold in very small quantities so you very rarely come across these ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSINGS. And when released in South Africa it sold in even fewer numbers !! I have only ever seen this one copy !!
Visually graded under a 100W light source the vinyl retains EXCELLENT MINUS glossy sheen - with surprisingly few visible marks.
However on playing this heavyweight vinyl there is some surface noise audible in quiet parts - particularly on Side 2.
Both sides have been PLAY GRADED.
Side 1 is graded - EXCELLENT MINUS
Side 2 is graded - VERY GOOD PLUS
The RED & SILVER UNBOXED DECCA record labels are graded EXCELLENT MINUS - with some noticeable spindle marks.
The thin card FLIPBACK PICTURE sleeve is graded VERY GOOD - it has seen better days - with creasing and rubbing and splits to the bottom, top and spine and wear to the opening...but there again is nigh on 50 years old now !
This is a rarely seen LP in any form and to find a 1st press from its one and only release in South Africa is hugely rare...
