Along with Linda Perhacs' "Parallelograms", this is quite possibly the best psychedelic folk album ever made in the United States. Hawaiian melodies combine with down-the-rabbit-hole weirdness (and the innovative occasional use of a synthesiser) to make an album that's beautifully strange and strangely beautiful.
