Plain white with die-cut center hole; production/cue sheet taped to front.
Labels: NM (plain white ALLIED RECORD COMPANY test pressing labels).
"1-23831 - A - RE1 SH2 B - 17787 RE1-SH2 SLM - 3788 1 -1" is scratched into the trail-off area.
Comments:
This is an extremely nice TEST PRESSING copy of the 1983 THIN LIZZY album "Thunder and Lightning". The vinyl appears to have be unplayed.
The labels are plain white and read:
"Processed and pressed by ALLIED RECORD COMPANY ...".
The "cue sheet" date reads March 18, 1983" and RELEASE DATE reads April 13, 1983". This is why these TEST PRESSING LPs, released to techs and reviewers before the actual commercial release, are considered to be the very first pressing of an album.
