1991 US ORIGINAL PRESSING on MATADOR Records. PARTIALLY IN SHRINK SINGLE COVER + INSERT. The cover is in EX condition, normal wear and without any major deterioration but light discolouration/wear on corners (where missing shrink), left spine is fully readable; for details see photos. The vinyl is in EX/NEAR MINT condition [barely played].

THINKING FELLERS UNION LOCAL 282
With such a longwinded moniker, it seems likely that Thinking Fellers Union Local #282 could be nothing but a bunch of pretentious art-school rejects. Fortunately, that's pretty far from the truth -- their sound is a hybrid of art rock and punk rock, based on noodling on organs, electric banjos, mandolins and heavy, fuzzed-out guitar blasts. The group formed in 1987 in San Francisco and released their first album Wormed By Leonard on their own label Thwart a year later. In 1991, the group made the jump to the Matador label, where they released 1991's critically acclaimed Lovelyville.......

The group's first album for Matador is also one of their more accessible ones, with the group's penchant for willful eccentricity colliding with some hummable melodies. However, this release also contains plenty of what TFUL #282 fans lovingly call "Feller-filler" (i.e., noise-pieces that have no real beginning, or ending, or point, for that matter)...(AllMusic)
