THIRD WORLD WAR

THIRD WORLD WAR II

1973 TRACK RECORDS 12" VINYL LP 2406 108 SUPER

RECORD-EXCELLENT       SLEEVE-GOOD (SLEEVE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION APART FROM THE TOP SPINE, WHERE THERE IS SOME MINOR DAMAGE THAT LOOKS, FROM BITTER EXPERIENCE (!) LIKE SOMEONE'S CAT HAS CLAWED THE SLEEVE)

THIRD WORLD WAR were a London based duo consisting of vocalist/guitarist TERRY STAMP and bassist JIM AVERY, aided and abetted by various others on a fairly ad hoc basis. Their aggressive music, powered by Stamp's 'chopper' guitar, and 'street' lyrics, fell on deaf ears at the time. A few years later they would have fitted right into the punk and new wave scene. This, their second LP, sold even fewer copies than their classic debut, and is thus even harder to find. Bit of a Stones connection here. Stones sideman JIM PRICE arranged the brass and played trumpet and trombone, whilst Keef's best mate BOBBY KEYS blows sax like only he can, although for legal reasons he isn't credited on the sleeve. GEORGE 'Irish O'Duffy' CHKIANTZ, veteran of many a Stones session (and later a regular in the studio with LED ZEPPELIN) engineers. Corking stuff!
