Description
The Thirteenth Floor Elevators classic 1966 single 45 "You're Gonna Miss Me" b/w "Tried To Hide" on International Artists Records IA-107.
I purchased this record in 1966 and it is from my personal collection. It is not a reissue.
The two tone blue label is the first commercial pressing of many on IA after they purchased the master from Contact Records. The matrix numbers in the deadwax are LH-2176/LH-2177 which are the Contact Records stampers and confirm that this is a Houston pressing (LH=Location Houston).
The record is graded "EX/VG+" with surface noise at the beginning and during the quieter section in the middle; my name is printed on the flip side label (see photos).
The generic sleeve is in "EX" condition; the song title is written on the top left corner of the sleeve (see photos).
I grade conservatively based on the following criteria:
“SS” Still Sealed – For the collector that demands nothing but perfection.
“M” Mint - a near perfect or unplayed record.
“NM” Near Mint - in factory fresh condition, like new.
“EX+” close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and demanding collector.
“EX” a used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear.
“VG+” There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility a few skuffs and/or light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.
