Description
This Kind of Punishment was a fine New Zealand band who released three LPs of sparse, moody indie rock in the 1980s. In the Same Room, their final LP, was originally released in 1987, and sports a somewhat fuller, more raucous sound. This copy is from the hand numbered (#51/1,000) limited edition 1993 reissue of the LP on the American Ajax label, and is paired with a 1985 EP by the group. The gatefold jacket is close to pristine (M-). The disc is clean, and plays with some light surface noise on disc 1 (EX). It must be noted that there might be a bit of a wobble in the sound on disc 1, side 1. That side does appear to have been pressed off center, and someone else has observed the playback issue. I have trouble hearing anything, so to my ear, the issue is subtle at most. In any event, I have discounted the price of the LP to take this (potential) issue into account.
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
