Extremely hard to find ‘Doublethink’ release. You are bidding on the excellent From Here To Obscurity EP by POPULAR MECHANICS from Sydney/Australia. The same 7” sold on eBay, in 2009, for £82 (UK). This cracker hardly shows up. Even Bruce Milne (Au-Go-Go Records) or Clinton Walker didn’t mention this 7“ release in their Australian punk discographies/books. Released on legendary Australian punk label ‘Doublethink’ records in 1979 (catalogue number DTDT 4). As you know, it was the label of the THOUGHT CRIMINALS band leader Roger Grierson who kicked out the classic ‘Hilton Bomber’ / ‘Food For The Thougtcrimes’ and several other records under their band name. Also 7“ releases by the BARONS, SUICIDE SQUAD, REJEX were issued on this private mini-punk label. This 7” rarity features the following four winners ‘Nightmares’ / ‘Gee Why’ / ‘Flamingo Road’ and ‘Fatal Slip’. Produced by Oscar Winning. This model also includes a large and BEAUTIFUL 7“ x 7“ fold-out poster which shows two tiny pinholes otherwise it’s in near perfect condition.

Mailing / Versand: alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen 7“ Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden (all records will be sent in plain white 7“ sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits). Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen 7“ Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special 7“ record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).
Payment / Bezahlung: Deutsche per Banküberweisung. Non-Germans via PayPal. Wird ein Gesamtwert von 35 Euro, $50 oder £30 erreicht, so verschicke ich ausschließlich als Einschreibebrief (3,50 Euro) bzw. innerhalb Deutschlands optional auch als DHL-Paket (5,00 Euro).
