THOUGHT CRIMINALS-LAND OF THE LIVING ROOM-SUPER RARE WHITE LABEL AUS' KBD PUNK-1980 2JJ Live One sided 45
Fun and Free Punk at its' best! For sale here is a rare Thought Criminals – Land Of The Living Room - 1980 2JJ Live One sided 45 - with 2 x blank white labels and rubber stamped name on paper sleeve. It was probably thrown into the audience on 29 August 1980, at a 2JJJ radio station gig (If you don't know 2JJJ, do some research!). This is a white label copy , the first one I've seen un-stamped on the actual label. I've asked around to some of Sydney and Melbourne's key Punk collectors and non have seen it as a white label. If you're a collector of Aus' Punk KBD or a general collector of Punk releases from around the world and don't have this release your collection is missing a great piece, is a must have record !Tracks on this 45 include:

The Thought Criminals’ are like Sydney's own MC5. Their first recording was the EP Hilton Bomber, with Mark Kingsmill (aka Jim Boots, and the brother of JJJ's Richard Kingsmill) on drums. The EP was the inaugural release on the band’s own Doublethink label.
This 45 is unique as the tracks are not on any other release from the band.
From WIKI: "The Thought Criminals were an influential and enterprising Australian punk band based in Sydney. They formed in late 1977 and disbanded in late 1981. The "angular, fast and quirky punk rock" of the Thought Criminals "was a fixture in the burgeoning Sydney underground scene." The band’s name was derived from the concept of ‘thoughtcrimes’ (unapproved thoughts) from George Orwell’s book, 1984. The Thought Criminals exemplified the do-it-yourself punk ethos of the late 1970s, with which they combined considerable business acumen. The band members formed the Doublethink record label and agency which provided recording and live performance opportunities for other new bands."
The record has a great shine and plays with minimal noise, EX-. As you can see the paper sleeve has some minor tearing. Side 2, which is dead wax, has three faint hairline marks which were originally scratched into the stamper which means it's meant to be there.
Both the labels are in excellent condition. Perhaps an ultra conservative grade could maybe drop it down to EX- to be safe however under normal light it looks EX+. The generic record sleeve stamped with the bands name is in very good + condition with some very light storage wear and the minor rip, please see photo provided.
