Description
Thoughts And Words - Same (Liberty UK 1969) Stereo
After leaving psych poppers Pandamonium, Bob Ponton and Mike Curtis formed Thoughts and Words who recorded one LP and a 45 for UK Liberty in 1969 with the help of Mike Batt before disappearing. It's quite a rare LP only released in the UK at the time and finds them retaining elements of their late 60s pop psych roots, while expanding into melodic baroque folk pop with chiming 12 string guitars, rockier moments, blissful harmonies and wonderful tunes. A real underrated one that gets better with every listen.
Grading
Vinyl: Record is very nice VG++ with just some light scuffs under strong light. Plays EX.
Sleeve: VG Fully laminated sleeve is fine but not perfect, with wear to corners, some laminate lift towards spine on reverse (common to all copies), some creasing towards spine on front and some creasing on reverse too.
Grading
M- As new, no marks of any kind whatsoever.
EX Perhaps a few featherlight whispy marks, but no scratches or deterioration in sound
VG+ Some light marks on the vinyl, but nothing that should cause clicks or pops, just occasional light surface noise.
VG Some heavier marks and maybe a few scratches that will cause some noise, but will still be a very enjoyable listen with definitely no sticks or skips or constant surface noise.
