Here’s a very rare 78rpm record! This is a 3 inch diameter record of “Beer Barrel Polka” by the Andrews Sisters. Not much is known about the origin of these tiny records... possibly they were promotional giveaways or something along those lines. Several titles of Andrews Sisters records exist in this format. I have played it, and it plays just a quick verse and one chorus of the song. I believe this is a unique condensed versions of the song, not an edit of the regular commercial version. You’d need a 78 player with no auto-eject mechanism to play this thing. The back of the disc is blank. It is not made of shellac like most records of the era- this is some sort of rigid black plastic. Record has light wear, no serious scratches. Fidelity is not great but what do you expect from something like this. I’ve never seen one of these before, and probably never will again.
