Grade detail: Disc has some minor visible hairlines but overall is in nice condition. Sleeve is original BBC Transcription Services version and looks really good. Cue sheets are crisp and clean and are also in really nice condition.

The first of two plays by this exiled Chilean author, set in Chile shortly after the 1973 coup.  Pedro is a small boy whose only interest is football and who is puzzled by the strange noises emanating from his parents' short-wave radio. But one day at school he is asked to write a composition on how his family spend their time.... with Judy Franklin

Three Women

Set in a maternity ward, the play consists of three interwoven monologues. The first voice is a woman who gives birth and takes her baby home with her, the second corresponds to a secretary who has a miscarriage, and the third voice belongs to an unmarried student who decides to give her baby up for adoption. The subject of mothers and their offspring will have been fresh in Plath’s mind, as she wrote the play a few months after her son Nicholas was born.

About BBC Transcription Services. 

BBC Transcription Services discs were only made available to overseas radio stations for broadcast purposes and were not made available for sale to the general public. However, in the early 90s many international BBC libraries sold their stock to the public.  

Typically BBC Transcription Services pressed 100 copies of each disc only with instructions to the overseas radio network to destroy the disc at the end of the licence period.

Mint (M) - The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition.

Excellent (Ex) - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good + (VG+) - The record has obviously been played but has only a few light surface marks. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Very Good (VG) - The record has obviously been played many times and has some visible surface marks. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G) – The record has visible mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Postage is standard UK 2nd class small parcel at a cost of £3.50. Additional records are only charged at £1.00 extra for each ordered. All our vinyl records are posted in Lil packaging stiff 12″ LP record mailer....a seriously strong, secure & professional package. Records are removed from their cover before posting to avoid seam splits to the outer sleeve.

International orders will be posted through eBAY global shipping programme
