PRODUCED BY PETE TOWNSHEND (who also plays bass on all of the tracks - under the pseudonym "Bijou Drains") THIS IS A SUPERB PIECE OF WORK IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION HAVING ONLY EVER BEEN PLAYED THE ONE TIME AND IT DELIVERS FLAWLESS AUDIO THROUGHOUT - A FANTASTIC COPY AND ONE VERY, VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED INDEED

PRESSED ON QUALITY MID-WEIGHT VINYL WITH THE FIRST ISSUE BLACK/SILVER TRACK LABELS
MATRIX: 2406 003 A
1 11 12 / 2406 003 B 1 11 11
THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL MATT GATEFOLD SLEEVE "Printed and made by MacNeill Press Ltd., London, S.E.1" WITH FACTORY SEALED LEFT SIDE EDGE

AND THE ORIGINAL WHITE POLYDOR POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVE (dated '0770' - July, 1970)

All these years, and all these accolades later, it still seems incredible that Hollywood Dream meant nothing at the time of its release; that America let it drift no higher than Number 161; that the U.K. did not even give it a hearing.
Less than a year before, after all, "Something in the Air" was topping charts and readers' polls alike, and Thunderclap Newman were as close to becoming the new Beatles.
Instead, they weren't even the new Badfinger, and this exquisite LP withered on the vine
But it stands alongside any 'lost' classic you could mention and is among the finest albums of the whole psychedelic generation.
So many bands have been hauled out of obscurity to be tagged the greatest secret you've never been told. Thunderclap Newman are one of the few who actually deserve that epithet.

LABELS: The labels are clean and unmarked with only one, barely noticeable spindle trace - once played - MINT-
VINYL Visual: The surfaces retain their original deep, like-new glossy sheen and are unmarked - MINT
VINYL Audio: Crystal clear, deep, rich and vibrant sound and on playback at a very loud volume (which is how I always listen to my records prior to listing) there are no audio issues to report. The record plays as-new with no clicks, pops or surface noise (the run-ins and track divisions are practically silent) and it sounds wonderful. Critically graded MINT for audio this is a beautiful, practically untouched copy and they don't come better. A really fantastic piece of work - very, very highly recommended
SLEEVE: The gatefold is clean and unmarked with just a little storage rubbing to the edges and spine - but most of the spine text is still legible. The inside is clean and fresh - EXCELLENT(-)
INSERT: Printed on delicate thin textured paper the one sided lyric insert is practically untouched - NEAR MINT
