Philips LP stereo 6833 166. Scarce LP. Released 1975 in The Netherlands only.

Contains Bach Suites 5 and 6 for unaccompanied cello by Tibor de Machula, who was born in Hungary, 1912 and played as first cello player in the Berlin PhO under Furtwangler. Later he joined the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra.

These Bach cello suites are the only two De Machula recorded commercially, he didn’t record the other 4 cellosuites.

Vinyl in near MINT condition. Looks unplayed.
