Description
Offered here is the very hard to find limited edition 2011 Record Store release of a replica reissue of the Beatles 1965 Capitol Records single TICKET TO RIDE with YES IT IS on the flip side. (YES IT IS is one of the rarest Beatles songs, a non-LP flip side which originally only appeared on the TICKET TO RIDE 45 rpm single.)
The special limited edition Record Store Day collectible 45 rpm single is an exact replica of the classic Capitol Records release, and comes in a gorgeous full color picture sleeve, which is printed on thick cardstock paper that's much more durable than the thin paper on which the original sleeve was printed. The sleeve features the same photo on both sides, as was the custom during the 1960s.
As a picky collector myself, I chose NOT to remove the vinyl 45 rpm record from the sleeve in the preparation of this listing. Thus, the record remains intact inside the picture sleeve, presumably untouched by human hands since the vinyl record left the pressing plant. In fact, I only handled the picture sleeve, with the record enclosed, long enough to scan an image of it for this listing, after which time I promptly placed it into a protective plastic sleeve, which is how it will be shipped to you. So I think it's safe to say that both the picture sleeve and the vinyl record inside are as close to mint as you're likely to find.
This limited edition single was released only once, for a one single day, Record Store Day 2011, and no further pressings are planned or likely. Don't let the opportunity pass to add this hard to find collectible in a special cardstock paper sleeve to your collection.
