The emphasis here is on BIG. B-I-G riffs. B-I-G vocals and B-I-G men. Vocalist Nicky Moore is the same Nicky Moore that would eventually, by way of obscure prog rockers Hackensack and NWOBHM band Samson, see active duty in the fat squad band Mammoth active in the mid 80's.

Tiger, as the name suggests, was a vehicle for some brutal hard rocking drivin' by Moore's gruff blues soaked vocals and Jim Sullivan's brutal yet intricate guitar work. Think Humble Pie meets heavy prog rockers Uriah Heep. The fact that they revel in writing long tracks helps matters no end...plenty of atmosphere and spooky arrangements bring matters to a head in tracks such as 'Prayer', 'Suzy Slicker', 'Lay Me' and the brilliant 'Tyger, Tyger'.

Tiger were a seven piece band so there's plenty of room for muso extravagance pushing their blues rock boundaries to the limits. It's Big Jim who walks away with all the accolades - what a brilliant and hugely talented player. Produced by early Deep Purple and Wishbone Ash puppet master Derek Lawrence, so you know you're in for a serious ride with him at the controls.

This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl condition: Nice clean and shiny surface. Can only have been played two or three times at most. Grades as near shop fresh MINT-!

Cover Condition: Housed in a textured single cover. Usually found absolutely trashed but this one is in super nice condition withvirtually no signs of use. Grades as shop fresh MINT!
