BOLD, FEARLESS, VISIONARY,  BRUTALLY UNCOMPROMISSING -- EVEN CONFRONTATIONAL:  The essence of this quintessential Tim Buckley album can be summed up in only six words.

For those unlucky ones unfamiliar with Tim's music: this is one of the most stunning, amazing pieces of music ever recorded, containing some of the most unapologetically uncompromising and unyielding, radical, dark, mystical and deeply spiritual poetic vision ever offered by ANY popular artist, in any field. It has to be heard to be believed. A truly starsailing experience it is, if ever we'd had one.  With this one, you won’t need any ACID.

The album was Tim Buckley's worst seller and is believed to have sold less than 10,000 copies in the United States. The abysmal commercial failure of this project caused Buckley to go into a 2-year self-imposed hiatus as a recording artist and even try his luck as a cab driver.  Original copies of this magnificent psych/acid album are INORDINATELY hard to find and the remaining copies are getting harder and harder to find with each passing day. Finding a still sealed original copy?!?! Forget it – not even a HOPE!!! This may be the last one you will ever see. Don't wait!!!  

The album includes original version of "Song to a Siren", Buckley's paean to a sexual/spiritual union of a male and female.

For its extraordinary contribution to the modern music, superb production, craftsmanship, fine musicianship, revolutionary significance and influence it exerted on numerous generations of musicians, writers and general public, this album was voted one of top-100 albums of all time in one of the largest poll of critics, music reviewers, professionals and producers ever organized: the poll, which was conducted in 1987 by Paul Gambaccini, legendary BBC Radio A&R man, surveyed more than 50 top music professionals   (►click here  for the complete album listing)

(b)          The record is  apparently pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)           The record comes in the original stock inner sleeve.  (WE CAN SEE IT THROUGH THE CUTOUT CORNER)

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER

COVER IS STILL SEALED; HOWEVER, WE ARE UNABLE TO GRADE IT MINT OR NEAR MINT DUE TO FLAWS LISTED BELOW; WE GRADE THIS COVER AS VG++(A  PIECE OF SHRINK WRAP IS MISSING)

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-        Cover has a partially split bottom seam (less than 1 inch / 2.5 centimeters)

-        Cover has a small cutout corner visible

-        Cover has four tiny, almost invisible, pinholes (or staple holes) in one corner. These tiny holes are NOT cutout holes.

-         Cover has JUST A HINT of ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 2.

-         Cover shows some light yellowing on back side, apparently from aging.

-         Visible shelf wear noted on the spine

-         The cover has a few tiny scratch marks on the front side

-         Cover has a visible "wrinkle"(crease)  in one of the corners.

-         Cover has two corners slightly worn / dinged (nothing significant)

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No writing

-        No stamps

-        No peel-off marks

-        No stains

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels
