"Pop Goes Art"
(Whaam! 01, 1982)

One of the greates twee-mod LPs (next to the TV-Ps) ever released! This is the original 1st press on Dan Treacy's Whaam! label, NOT the Art Pop reissue (or any of the many later boots/reissues). All of these came with hand-made sleeves, but the majority had rather boring spray-painted sleeves, this copy here however was hand-drawn with felt-pen, referencing London's public transportation and something more abstract. As you probably know, the Times at this early point in time consisted mainly of Ed Ball and Dan Treacy, just as the early TV-Ps did, so there's obviously a great similarity between both "bands" and if you love the TV-Ps, you'll love this LP just as much.

I'll also incl xerox' of the elusive lyric book to the album with many artworks and obviously words to the music. And a few Times Newsletters from the mid-80s.

VINYL: in great shape: EX+ to NM

SLEEVE: EX-, some stains on front that look like spilled liquit, they were there wehen I bought this LP many many years ago, slight ringwear on back, bit of corner wear, no split seams  

NOTE: I'm selling very nice versions of the very scarce TV-Ps lyric books.
