Up for bids is a great mono Jazz LP by Tiny Grimes with Coleman Hawkins called "Blues Groove". Prestige Records. PRLP 7138. 1958.RARE ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING ON THE YELLOW AND BLACK PRESTIGE LABELS!
DEEP GROOVE PRESSING!
TRAIL-OFF (OR DEAD WAX) HAS THE STAMPED "RVG", FOLLOWED BY A STAMPED "B" ON BOTH SIDES.
Address on both labels is "446 W. 50TH ST., N.Y.C."Record's edges are raised.
Front and edges of cover are laminated.
Comes with original rice paper inner sleeve in VG condition.
NOTE:
The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.
Cover is a STRONG VG+ condition. Front is really nice with some light wear. Back of cover has some wear and browning. No splits! All cover sides are completely intact! How about that spine photo! Laminate is checking a little by the edges. Strong and sturdy, this is still a prime example of this cover!
I would rate the record’s condition as a STRONG VG++. Looks gorgeous with some visual superficial marks that do not affect play. Minor surface noise between tracks, but not too much wear at all. Record stills sounds amazing on my player!
Makes a great gift for any Tiny Grimes or Bean fan!
