Released by Tamla Motown in 1966, cat # TMG 557; this is “Get Ready” / “Fading Away” by The Temptations.

This is a classic red/white demo with the release date in the centre of each label. There is a tiny bit of wear to the A-side label and a slight ring-mark on the B-side label. The A-side playing surface looks no better than good with quite few long surface marks and wear. Playing is much better than it has any right to be; the A-side plays very good. The B-side has a bit of surface noise throughout the track and grades as good. The record does have the original sleeve, but as it is damaged, the record will come in a plain white sleeve for safety.

All of these Motown singles come from the same source – an original 60’s Top Rank DJ who started in the ballrooms and progressed to radio and record production in the 1970’s. The vast majority of the collection is mint or unplayed, but he clearly loved his Motown as most of the 60’s and early 70’s singles are generally in very good condition, but with a few notable exceptions!
