Description
Released by Tamla Motown in 1966, cat # TMG 564; this is “Determination” / “Just A Little Misunderstanding” by The Contours.
This is a classic red/white demo with the release date of the 10 June 1966 in the centre of each label. The A-side label has a slight mark on the left hand leg of the red “A”. The B-side label has a slight ring-mark. Both playing surfaces have wear that places the record firmly in the very good category. Playing, as I have come to expect with these Tamla singles, is a lot better than the visual appearance. The in-demand B-side plays near excellent and the A-side isn’t far behind. The record comes with it’s original sleeve, though because of damage, the record is now housed in a new white sleeve for safety.
All of these Motown singles come from the same source – an original 60’s Top Rank DJ who started in the ballrooms and progressed to radio and record production in the 1970’s. The vast majority of the collection is mint or unplayed, but he clearly loved his Motown as most of the 60’s and early 70’s singles are generally in very good condition, but with a few notable exceptions!
