Description

Released by Tamla Motown in 1964, cat # TML 11009; this is “Meet The Temptations” by The Temptations.

 

This is an exceptionally rare Tamla album – only issued in mono, and is one of the most elusive on the Tamla label.

 

The laminated flip-back sleeve is in at least excellent condition. There is the merest hint of fading to the rear of the sleeve – not sure if you can see it in the picture – it is very slight! On the opening edge where the laminate has shrunk, there is a tiny rub right in the centre of that opening edge. This is being very picky!

 

Turning to the labels – well one spindle mark on the side one label is about the sum of it! A forty-two year old record that has only been played once? It is possible from this collection!

 

And finally ------ the playing surfaces themselves. Will mint do? Thought so…..

 

The record comes in a lined EMI sleeve.

 

All of these Motown albums come from the same source – an original 60’s Top Rank DJ who started in the ballrooms and progressed to radio and record production in the 1970’s. The vast majority of the collection is mint or unplayed! For the full story on the collection, please see our “me” page.
