Description
Mega rare psych 7" 45 from the northern legends that are "TOBY TWIRL". This is the very hard to find (the promos pop up more than the normal release) "TOFFEE APPLE SUNDAY" & "ROMEO & JULIET 1968".This great release is on the Decca label from 1968 and with a serial number set of F 12804 - DR42500/DR42501. The A- Side TOFEE APPLE SUNDAY is in good to very good condition with a few whispy marks. The B- Side ROMEO & JULIET 1968 is in good + condition with some more visible markings. When you receive this record you will probably upgrade the condition but i have probably downgraded to avoid any problems. I have played both sides (on more than one occasion) on a pretty good quality Thorens 165 turntable and apart from the usual crackling at the start, both sides play absolutely fine without any audible problems whatsoever. The standard Decca sleeve is a bit old looking but this is easily replaceable at very low cost. I personally prefer the B-side ROMEO & JULIET 1968 which is brilliant. There again the A-side is pretty good too. I will be sad to let this go. If you buy please play this very loud, enjoy it - don't just stick it in a record box. Happy bidding.
On 06-May-14 at 23:14:00 BST, seller added the following information:Just to add, the nice chap that bid on the demo Toby Twirl - "Toffee Apple Sunday" and paid over £700 for it recently, has e-mailed me to say how nice it is to see a stock copy of this record on Ebay and that the demo is more common than the stock issue. He actually swapped his recently purchased demo for a stock copy in excellent condition. Thank you for the info Derek.
