ITEM:  Rare 1970 Tokyo Happy Coats Live King Records TEST PRESSING. Plain yellow labels with handwritten text. I confirmed the contents of the LP on my turntable. I acquired this along with roughly 50 other King and Starday test pressings that had been purchased at auction when the Starday-King label folded (In 1969 King was acquired by Starday, which promptly changed its name to Starday-King). CONDITION:  LP is in VG/VG+ condition. Has some sleeve scuffs and some light surface marks and scuffs. Still a nice gloss on the LP. Generic white DJ sleeve is new and NM. Please scroll down to see numerous photos. Any and all flaws visible in photos below. 

A NOTE ON TEST PRESSINGS:  Test pressings were manufactured in extremely small numbers, usually to be distributed only to members of the band and their associates. Those receiving copies of the test pressing would review it for fidelity, mix, any physical flaws to the stampers, and any other flaws or inconsistencies. Basically they are a way to review what a record will sound like before it is pressed for mainstream distribution. They are far rarer than promo copies or any other pressings, as often there are less than 10 of a given test pressing made.
