OKeh 41422: TOM DORSEY AND HIS NOVELTY ORCHESTRA You Can't Cheat A Cheater/Daddy, Change Your Mind

Forget the "Sentimental Gentleman of Swing", this is TD as a hot, trumpet player. This session was also graced by the presence of Eddie Lang on guitar. The matix/take numbers are shown in the run-off (W401822C/W401821B). A good copy of this very desirable item - see below.

CONDITION: E-/V+ with some minor scuffs and even less in the way of scratches, together with some light, general groove wear in places. As the grading suggests, these are slightly more in evidence on side 2 than on side 1. The label to side 1 has a sticker attached - see photo. This could possibly be removed as part of a general cleaning process, if care was taken. There is no sticker on side 2. Experienced collectors will know that these beautiful laminated pressings nearly always play better than they look - not that this looks bad in the first place.
