Description

TOM JOHNSON : Nine Bells LP (India Navigation [USA] IN-3023) 1982.

Record is excellent with minimal light sleeve scuffs only. Cover is excellent with light ring wear, light edge wear, and a small number written at the top-middle of the back.

Original copy of the second LP (following An Hour for Piano on Lovely) by American minimalist composer Tom Johnson, known for his book The Voice of New Music compiling his articles on New Music & minimalism written for the Village Voice in the '70s. This piece is for nine suspended burgler alarm gongs hanging from the ceiling, struck by Johnson as he walks around the room following various geometric patterns.
