Description

TOM JONES - " LIVE AT CAESAR'S PALACE, LAS VEGAS ", The Decca Record Co Ltd. (DKL 1/1 & 1/2) STEREO, 1971.

Extreme rare Decca test pressing of the live double LP by Tom Jones.

Test pressing of the original UK first issue with gatefold sleeve, etc.

Matrix Numbers

SIDE A = XZAL-10916.P-1L
SIDE B = XZAL-10917.P-1L
SIDE C = XZAL-10918.P-1L
SIDE D = XZAL-10919.P-1L

This particular copy is an official Decca test pressing, featuring their standard "Factory Sample NOT FOR SALE" labels with details of the record hand written on the label, also included are the standard commercial issue gatefold sleeve and info sheets - see photo.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeves.

CONDITION:

VINYL  =  EXCELLENT (No deep scratches, groove damage, excessive surface noise, distortion, etc. Only light spindle trails on the label. In daylight it looks perfectly clean, but a bright grading lamp reveals quite a few paper scuffs - as you would expect, these do not sound on playback. Plays very well - starts with the very lightest of faint surface noise during the silent run-in which stops as the music starts. Then it plays strong, clear and without interruption from clicks, crackles and excessive surface noise. Clearly only had pretty light use in it's lifetime and has been very well cared for.

Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)

SLEEVE, ETC = EX- (Both the sleeve and labels are all in pretty good condition. All have details of the record hand written on them as part of the test pressing process. The sleeve has light normal wear as per the grading - see photos for more info)

NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records. Before bidding, please read my description carefully, decide how much this record is worth to you and place you max bid accordingly. Please also feel free to check out my feedback from the many other successful transactions I have made in the past.

ANY QUESTIONS? PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO GET IN TOUCH!

HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!
