TOM JONES - "Thunderball" UNKNOWN - "Mr Kiss Kiss Bang Bang"
UA / Emidisc acetate - 1960's
Very rare two-sided acetate featuring the classic 1965 Tom Jones James Bond theme and a male vocal version of "Mr Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" on the flip side. This sounds somewhat like Mel Torme to me but I could be way off… No doubt someone will know who it is when they hear it though.
The acetate has no information on the labels other than the song titles and a handwritten U/A (presumably referring to United Artists?) on both sides.
Both sides play through without any skips or jumps but there is a considerable amount of surface noise. Being an Emidisc acetate it may well be possible to clean it up and improve the audio, but there's no guarantee that this will be the case.
However, this acetate is undoubtedly a rarity and regardless of condition is sold strictly as a collector's item. The chances of finding another one like this are scarce to say the least. See photos for details.
