Description
Offering is original owner’s Tom Lehrer “That Was the Year That Was”,1st Pittman Pressing (recorded live July 1965 at the Hungry i), R-6179, 12” LP, 33-1/3 RPM, Mono, with original Reprise Records’ yellow/pink/green label, 100% original shrink wrapping, black vinyl record. The album was purchased in 1965 at E.J. Korvette, Pelham Manor, NY. (see photo no. 10).
Specific descriptions:
· Album Cover / Jacket:
(a) Front Cover – CONDITION: EXCELLENT. The front cover has retained its original, rich colors due to the original shrink wrapping being in place for 100% of the front cover.
(b) Back Cover – CONDITION: EXCELLENT. The back cover has retained its original, rich colors due to the original shrink wrapping being in place for approximately 95% of the back cover. There is mild age toning in the ¼” x 12 ¼” exposed (non-shrink) vertical section next to the album cover’s opening (photos nos. 8-9,11).
· Vinyl – CONDITION: EXCELLENT. Seldom played, with very light wear, its vinyl playing surfaces are clean and very bright. Both sides have retained a nice gloss, with no scratches or feelable surface marks. There are minimal (2-3) hairline / non-feelable surface marks on each side. The original and iconic Reprise Records’ light green / yellow / pink labels are in excellent condition, with no spindle wear, stains, rip marks/tears or discoloration.
· Record Sleeve – CONDITION: EXCELLENT. This original trademarked “Reprise Records :r” paper inner sleeve has retained its rich B&W colors with no tears, seam splits or fading. There are areas of very mild age toning along the top section of both sides.

· According to the liner notes, “Nine of the songs on this record (no prizes for guessing which ones) were among the ones he wrote for TW3 and were first sung thereon.”
· First U.S. pressing with subdued tricolor yellow, pink and green Reprise Records' “steamboat” center labels.
· Double-sided inner sleeve features numerous other titles/albums from the Reprise Records catalogue and the tagline “To Play and Play Again” (photos nos. 14-15).
· Botton of Back Cover: All Songs: ASCAP; Recorded July, 1965, at The Hungry I, San Francisco; ELT; Printed in U.S.A.
Always stored upright, kept in dry, non-smoking homes.
