Description

On offer is a Philippines pressing of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' 1979 LP Damn the Torpedoes, MCA 5105.  The cover identifies the LP as a "Backstreet/MCA" release.  The labels on the record say MCA and "Manufactured in the Philippines." 
The record plays great, sounds great -- full and clear.  The vinyl has much of its original shine and gloss.  Under a strong light you can see a few hairlines and a few slight surface marks.  The record grades Excellent or Near Excellent by the Record Collector magazine definition of Excellent "The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound."
There is one defect.  In the last track on side two, about five seconds from the end there is a split-second skip.
The cover is in very good condition.  It has no splits, tears or writing.  But there is some creasing and some light wear to edges and corners.
