TOM PETTY Wildflowers 2x LP Vinyl LP unplayed nearmint superior German pressing

quite a find today especially on USA soil. For some time, we've usually seen the USA pressing on eBay. this was pressed on vinyl twice, once in usa and once in germany, both in 1994. I cant find and have never seen the differences in these pressings discussed in print on on the web except in some issue of record collector i dont own so, from my personal knowledge:

differences between usa and german pressing:

--Lyrics/ Inners : Usa pressing had two sided one page black lyric insert and white paper inner sleeves--German one had printed glossy inner sleeves with white background lyrics on each and a single black and white photo on the other side of the inners.

so the USA one doesnt have these two photos on the inners

---also, the material the cover is made of is of a slicker kind of material that the slightly darker USA cover which seemed closer to chipboard.

--It also has a raised WB logo on lower right back cover. I dont think the usa one does.

--- of course the info on the labels is different with a lot more text on the German

--Different weight vinyl? maybe, hard to say.

the story with this and how they got into the States: German copies made it into the States while the USA pressing was still in print. Feedback dist. was the company that broke the ban on the other pressing coming into the states. I bought two copies from them. someone in their buying dept thought it wasnt coming out in the states and made a big mistake and bought a load of them, so they let them go for very cheaply to stores to get rid of them, cheaper than the usa press.if they waited a year the us pressing would have been out of print and they could have asked double for it and not lost so much money. anyways, i had the US press as well and played it and later sold it on here, but i never played this spare German copy which always seemed like it was pressed on nicer, heavier (?) vinyl.  BUT I don't have the USA press anymore so I cant really compare it but from memory. This one sill seems to me the one to own over the USA pressing just for the inner picture  sleeves alone...I used to have two different promo posters for this LP and  one was of one of these black and white photos in 24 x36...awesome posters...go for 50-70 nowadays on the 'bay. sigh.

at any rate,  overall, you get a bit of an edge over the USA pressing for one of the best records of the '90s including any genre.

CONDITION VINYL: Nearmint, though unplayed, one of the 4 sides has a couple very light paper marks. otherwise markless and pristine.

CONDITION SLEEVE:  .NEARMINT, all four corners solid, so significant flaws anywhere.

EU, Japan and Australia are $23.00 via first class international mail.plus $ 13 to cover certified mail/tracking

sorry included in shipping charge is certified mail tag which costs $13 extra which is the only way to track it in Europe. would you really risk shipping this beauty without tracking across the world?

sadly, We do not ship this item to Italy or Ukraine or Russian federation unless agreements are made in advance of bidding from experienced ebayers.
