Description
Here we have an excellent copy of Tom Waits - Rain Dogs, possibly his finest album? This is a 1985 UK 1st pressing on the Island Label - matrix numbers are;
ILPS 9803 A-1U-1-1 ILPS 9803 B-1U-1-1
Most importantly this is the superior copy, lacquer cut by Graeme, & this is hand etched into the deadwax on Side 1 - see photos.
The record has been thoroughly cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up black & glossy with barely any marks visible, maybe only a paper wisp, but that's it.
Playback was superb. Crisp and bold, a very wide dynamic range with excellent depth. Tom's growling was in the room with us - wonderful mastering by Howie Weinberg at Masterdisk. No playback issues whatsoever - no jumping, sticking or pops - the vinyl behaves beautifully & sits flat on the turntable. Clean spindle holes.
The outer sleeve is also very clean & crisp with very light edge & corner wear, and slight wear to the opening. Minor creasing in places but no writing, stains or tears. The original inner lyric sleeve is in excellent condition with no tears or writing. We have popped the record into a brand new anti static sleeve to keep it pristine after cleaning - you will receive both.

This is a lovely example of a great album in fully cleaned & playtested condition - ready to pop straight onto your turntable & enjoy.
