Description
I am parting with some of my treasured LPs. Here's a great record from 1975. It's an amazing copy of The movie soundtrack to TOMMY, featuring artists The Who, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Tina Turner, and more... Remarkably, this LP is STILL SEALED, 43 years after it's release. It is incredibly in great condition. 3 of the 4 corners have minor bumps that have rubbed a touch of the cover corner area. These are minor, but worth a mention. The STILL SEALED beautiful LP is also graced with THE BEST HYPE STICKER for this LP. The left side of that sticker is very fractionally pulled in, as if someone actually tried to peel it. It is a minor detail, but noted here. Also on the cover is the original record store sticker showing a cost of $8.38. This is a keeper of a copy, a showpiece, rarely ever see that hype sticker, and on a sealed LP too boot....
The movie Tommy was huge for The Who, as it was for Rock and Roll at the time. It was a great concept album that became a film. They brought in Elton, Tina, and Clapton all in their primes, and gave them prime roles to shine. The film is amazing, and so is this LP.
I love original original pressings because I feel every LP is of it's time and place. The vinyl, and record pressings are all from that moment in time, and no re-pressing or re-mastering will ever make the sound better for me.
PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER LPS FOR SALE NOW ON EBAY. I AM POSTING SOME TREASURES. SOME ARE RARE AND COLLECTIBLE, AND OTHERS ARE JUST GREAT ALBUMS LIKE THIS ONE IS.
