Low start!.....No reserve!!.....NO high priced ‘Buy It Now’.
ORIGINAL LP on the orange/plum label, in unlaminated Gatefold Sleeve and complete with the rare ‘Head Hunters’ inner sleeve which is collectable in it’s own right. ‘TONTO’ is an acronym for "The Original New Timbral Orchestra," the first, and still the largest, multitimbral polyphonic analog synthesizer in the world, designed and constructed over several years by Malcolm Cecil. Wonderful spacey/trippy sounds and an album way ahead of its time.
Although they later featured on other musicians albums, most famously, a quartet of successful albums by Stevie Wonder, this album stands as landmark recording in the electronic media.
Written, Programmed and Performed by: Malcolm Cecil and Robert Margouleff.
(Before decamping to the States, Malcolm Cecil was a British jazz bassist who played with Tubby Hayes & Ronnie Scott in The Jazz Couriers; also Dick Morrissey, Tony Crombie. He later joined Cyril Davies and Alexis Korner to form the original line-up of Blues Incorporated.)
Side one of the record is unmarked and plays with very minimum of background. Side two has a visible line and very light paper lines. A very light pop is audible for one track. The sleeve is very good to excellent. Light edge wear only.
