Grading (PLEASE READ SO THERE ARE NO SURPRISES)

All records are carefully graded. I tend to grade conservatively so only new records are likely to receive a mint grading. I will say if the record has been play graded other wise assume it has only been visually graded. Any de-lamination, cut-outs, stickers or writing etc will be noted as additional information. Please refer to my grading system below for a more detailed explanation.

GRADING DESCRIPTIONS

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

NEAR MINT The record shows the smallest of signs of use, such as spindle marks or light paper scuffs, but there is no lessening to sound quality. The cover and packaging may have the lightest of wear around the edges, but nothing as serious as ring wear.

EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Insurance

Optional for purchases shipped within the U.K. but it is highly recommended for “high ticket” purchases. Rates are displayed in the listing.

• All overseas shipments costing over £50 must be insured (under £50, insurance is optional).

 My return policy: I don’t get many returns but customers are important to me so I like to offer a relatively hassle-free return policy. However, in order to return the record or other item, you must notify me of your intent shortly after your receipt of the record or other item and within a reasonable time after the auction’s close. Also, the item must be returned in its original condition , i.e. the way it was shipped when it left my hands.  I do not refund Shipping & Handling costs nor return postage, only the purchase price. While a very high percentage of my records arrive safe and sound, they occasionally are damaged in transit. If that happens, I won’t accept the return of the record or other item - that’s why you have the option of obtaining insurance.  I trust you understand as I cannot control the Post Office.
