TONY SHERIDAN WITH THE BEATLES EP POLYDOR 21 610 GERMAN 1964
On offer is the TONY SHERIDAN WITH THE BEATLES 45 rpm EP – 2ND PRESSING, GERMAN IMPORT IN UK P/S RED LABEL – Polydor 21 610 released in 1964.
Tracks are – The Saints (When the Saints go marching in) / Why (song–writing credit: Sheridan)/ My Bonnie / Cry for a Shadow (song-writing credit: Harrison – Lennon).
This is a hard-to-find German import EP on the red Polydor label and the condition is as follows:-
v The disc is visually in nice VG+ condition. It was issued without a centre – so it comes supplied with a plastic spindle (see scan). It has lovely clear labels and clean vinyl. There is a gold star on the B side label – see scan.
v The record generally plays well with some occasional background / surface noise and a couple of short audible clicks on Cry with a Shadow (George and John’s instrumental track that sounds like a Shadows tribute).
v The (green) paper sleeve is in VG/VG- condition: with some creases and a seam split in the top right hand corner (which is only a small one) and the lower left hand corner (which is about half the length of the bottom sleeve). The lower left hand of the sleeve also has a couple of tears BUT the EP cover is intact. The name of a former owner is written on the back cover (see scans).
In summary: this rare EP is a VG+ disc in a VG/VG+ sleeve that generally plays well – and as such it would make a nice addition to a Beatles collection to keep until that elusive EX or EX+ copy comes along.
