TOO MUCH: You are bidding on the extra rare first 7” by UK punk band TOO MUCH. This is the original first pressing (and it has never been reissued), released on the highly collectable punk label ‘Lightning’ records in 1978 (catalogue number GIL 513). It’s the same label where the JERKS, LUCY, EXITS, BLITZKRIEG, HORROR COMIC and many other punk bands plied their trade and kicked out great singles that any self respecting Punk needs on their shelves. The fantastic melody punk/powerpop cracker on the A-side named ‘Who You Wanna Be’. This smasher is crammed-full with melodies, topped with excellent lyrics and a perfect bass player. The song on the flip titled ‘Another Time Another Place’. Sleeve and vinyl are still in excellent condition and it really is a gorgeous sleeve is it not? So typical of the era! ‘Who You Wanna Be’ is also features on the ‘Lightning Record Punk Colletion’ which also features their second single ‘Kick Me One More Time’.
