TOOL – Salival 12” Double Coloured Vinyl – 2001 for Unofficial promotional use only (FACTORY SEALED)
Background
Ultra-rare Tool double 12" vinyl. This is the infamous 'Salival' release on LP. Record one is a clear lime green colour, and record two is a grey marble colour.
I can reveal that these LP’s were pressed in 2001 and limited to 300 copies worldwide. The German pressing plant where these LP’s were pressed shortly closed down in later 2001, and all the LP’s held at the plant were stored away. Only in 2007 these LP’s alongside many others were bought at auction and were subsequently sold to suppliers starting out in Australia and eventually the US. Most of the copies have the clear lime green & grey marble vinyl’s as shown in the photographs below, but there is allegedly only 5 copies out of the 300 which have the gold and silver vinyl. One of them was sold in March 2008 at a record shop in Camden, London.
This item is still sealed and a must for any serious Tool collector and fan alike. Could you be lucky enough to have a gold and silver vinyl?
